Gathering of neighbors and protesters against new building on Protasiv Yar, 19 Jun 2019. The green zone in the center of Kyiv, which was supposed to become the city's lungs and city park, was privatized under the previous mayors of Kyiv and sold to commercial developers, despite the status of a green zone for Kyivites. The protest was triggered by the illegal felling of several hectares of trees over 50 years old, right in the city center.
